Tomato Onion Chutney



In our home we maximum eat idly, dosa type of foods for breakfast and dinner. Every Mom and housewife will be having some difficulty in deciding the different side dish for our regular tiffin. So I have planned to post different type of chutney recipes to help all moms. Tomato Onion chutney is an excellent recipe which will be surely liked by all age group people. 

Ingredients
  • Chopped Onion - 1 cup
  • Chopped Tomato - 3/4 Cup
  • Red Chili - 6 - 7
  • Curry Leaves - 2 sprig
  • Coriander Leaves - 1/4  cup
  • Coconut - 1 very small piece (Optional) 
  • Oil - As needed
  • Salt - As needed
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp


Method:
  • Heat Oil in a pan, Add red chili, Chopped onions, Fry until it turns little golden, Add tomatoes, Mash well, saute on a medium flame for 4 minutes.
  • Add 1 sprig of curry leaves, coriander leaves, coconut,  saute on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. 
  • Allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, blend in a mixer till smooth. transfer it to a bowl.
  • Heat oil in a pan, Add mustard seeds, Curry leaves, allow it for seasoning, Pour it in the chutney bowl, Mix well.
  • Serve with Idly / Dosa...
Notes
  • You can do it by alternative method by without adding curry leaves, coriander leaves, coconut., But if you add theses ingredients it will gives different taste.
