Healthy & Tasty Peanut Murukku


Ingredients

  • Rice Flour - 1 cup
  • Roasted Peanut ( Without Skin) - 1/4 Cup
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  • Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As needed
  • Oil - For deep frying
  • Water - As needed

Method:
Step 1:
  • Take a blender, Add the roasted peanuts make powder, Add little water to it, grind it as a smooth paste. transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • In the same bowl, add rice flour, butter, Asafoetida, sesame seeds, salt,   required water and knead to make a smooth dough without cracks. 
Step 2:
  • Fill the dough in murukku press. You can grease some ladles and squeeze on it. 
  • Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan or kadai, (To check if the oil is hot, drop a piece of dough into the hot oil, if it raises to the surface immediately, the oil is hot enough to fry the murukkus).
  • If the oil is too hot, keep the flame in medium, slide the murukku from the ladle into the hot oil gently.
  • let it cook for a few seconds, then flip it over to the other side.
  • When the murukku is cooked, you will not sees the bubbles in the oil.
  • Drain the murukkus in kitchen towels.
Notes
  • For murukku to turn out without breaking, make sure enough water is used to knead dough. The rice flour must be finest flour too. 
  • Do not add more butter more than mentioned. Murukku will get dissolved in oil. 
  • You can add raw peanuts also instead of roasted peanuts.
  • If you want more spicy, You can add red chili powder( 1 tsp)
