- White Chick Peas - 1 Cup
- Tomato - 2
- Big Onion - 3
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
- Red chili powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Sweet condensed milk - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - As needed
Method:
Step 1:
- Wash and soak the chick peas overnight or 8 to 10 hrs.
- Pressure cook the chick peas with 2 cups of water for 4-5 whistles.
- Heat a bowl with 1 cup of water, Add onion, tomato in it, Allow it to boil, once it is cooked, Add it to mixer, grind as a smooth paste, Keep aside.
Step 2:
- Heat Kadai, Add oil and ghee in it, Add cumin seeds, allow it to splutter.
- Add ginger garlic paste, fry until the raw smell goes up.
- Add red chili powder, Coriander powder, Garam Masala, Turmeric powder, Mix well, Keep the flame in low.
- Add onion , Tomato paste in it, mix well, Allow it to cook until oil floats on the top.
- Add the cooked chickpeas to the masala, add water if needed and add salt, Dry fenugreek Leaves, Mix well.
- Now Oil will floats on top, Add Sweet condensed milk in it, Stir well for 2 - 3 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves, Switch off the flame.
- Serve hot with Poori, Chapati, Parota.
Notes
- Using sweet condensed milk is optional, If you don't have this, You can add sugar.
- Instead of cooking onion and tomato and make it as paste, You can make paste by raw onion and tomato.
