Restaurant Style Paneer Butter Masala & Health Benefits

    Paneer is a Healthy Dish, Generally it is eaten on daily basis by the vegetarian people to fulfill their protein need of the body. Paneer is a high protein food having high level of calcium and phosphorus which helps in building strong bones and teeth. Vitamin K and magnesium found in it calcify the bones and prevents from the skeletal deformation.It has high level of dietary fibers which helps in digestion by improving the metabolism thus helps in reducing the weight. It also reduces the occurrence of type 2 diabetes, development of insulin resistance syndrome (related to the obesity), glucose intolerance and hypertension by improving the macro and micro vascular functions.

Ingredients
  • Panner - 250 gms
  • Bay leaf - 1 
  • Cinnamon Stick - 1 small inch
  • Cloves - 2
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh Cream - 2 tsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As needed
  • unsalted butter - 2 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
To grind:
  • Chopped Onion - 1 (Large)
  • Tomato - 2 (Chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
  • Whole Cashews- 10
Method:
Step 1:
  • Heat 1 tsp Butter in a kadai, Add chopped onions, Fry until it turns golden, Add Ginger garlic paste, Fry until the raw smell goes up.
  • Add Tomatoes, Cashews saute till they turn mushy. Allow it to cool.
  • Take a mixer add the items and grind it as a smooth paste without adding water, Keep aside.
Step 2:
  • Heat 1 tsp Butter, Oil in a kadai, Add Bay leaf, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves, Allow it to sizzle.
  • Add Turmeric powder, Red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, saute on very low flame.
  • Add grinded paste, water in it, mix well, keep in a medium flame until the oil separates.
  • Add Paneer in it, Mix gently, Saute for 5 mins, Add fresh Cream, Dry fenugreek leaves in it, Mix well.
  • Switch off the flame, Serve Hot.
Notes
  • You can add Kashmiri chili powder instead of red chili powder.
  • saute onions and tomatoes well to avoid raw smell in the gravy.
  • You can serve this with fried rice, Naan, Roti, Chapati.
