Potato Masala For Puri / Chapati

Potato Masala

 Ingredients
  • Boiled Potato - 1 Cup
  • Chopped Onion - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger - 1 Small Pieces (Chopped)
  • Green Chilly - 3 - 4 (Sliced)
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - As needed
  • Salt - As needed
  • Gram Flour- 1 tsp 
  • Oil - AS needed
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp

Method
Step 1:
  • Peel the skin and Cut the boiled potato into pieces or Mash it into small pieces, Keep aside
  •  Heat oil in a kadai, Add Mustard seeds, Curry leaves, Allow it to sizzle
  • Add chopped onion, Fry it until it turns golden.
  • Add chopped ginger, Green chilly, fry it well.
  • Add turmeric powder, Salt in it, Mix well, Add mashed potato in it.
  • Pour some water in it Cover it with a lid, allow it to cook for 3 Mins.
Step 2:
  •  Take a bowl, Add Gram Flour and Water, Mix well as a watery consistency without lumps.
  • Now  open the lid, Add watery Gram flour in it, Mix Well without lumps
  • Continue to boil for 10 minutes in medium flame or until the masala gets thick in consistency.
 Notes 
  • For Boiling the potato, Wash and cut potatoes into 4, Add some turmeric and pressure cook for 3 whistles with little water.
  • My chillies were spicy, so added 4, if not, add more, otherwise the masala will be bland
  •  If you want the masala in a watery consistency you can add some more gram flour.
  • You can also add carrot, Peas like vegetables in it. 
  • You can serve it for Puri, Chapati...
