Fluffy Poori/Puri

Ingredients
  • Wheat Flour - 3/4 Cup
  • Water - 1/4 Cup ( Adjust as needed)
  • Sugar - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As needed
  • Oil - To deep Fry

Method
Step 1:
  • Take a bowl, Add Flour, Oil (1 & 1/2 tsp)  , Salt, Mix Well.
  • Add 1/4 cup water little by little while you mix the flour to resemble a crumbly mix. Then carefully sprinkle water to gather to a dough.
  • Mix well to make it smooth the dough without any cracks.
  • Divide into equal sized balls .Roll out into circles by puri maker. Not too thick, not too thin.
Step 2:
  • Heat oil in the kadai, until fume just starts to come. Then keep it in medium flame and drop the rolled puri in the oil carefully.
  • Puri should immerse in the oil fully. Gently press the puri with the ladle when it tries to float on the top. This will make it puff well.  
  • Turn over and cook until golden spots appear on the puri. 
  • Now Puri is Ready, Serve Hot 
Notes
  • You can also add Rava (1 tsp) with the dough, This will makes Puri more crispy and Puri will be fluffy for longer time.
  • Oil Should not be overheated. the consistency of the dough is very important.
  • Adding sugar makes Puri in golden colour.
