Simple & Tasty Chicken Gravy


Chicken Gravy

Ingredients:
  • Chicken - 1/2 Kg
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Chopped Onion - 1/2 Cup
  • Tomato - 1 (chopped)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As needed
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 &1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Cinnamon Stick - 1 Small Piece
  • Pepper - 1/2 Tsp
  • Oil - 3 Tsp
  • Cloves - 2 to 3
  • Coriander leaves - As needed
Method:
Step 1:
  • Wash the chicken pieces, and cut to small/medium sized pieces
  • Add Turmeric Powder in the chicken and mix well. Keep aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
Step 2:
  • Heat a Kadai, Add oil in it
  • Add Fennel Seeds, Bay leaf, Cinnamon Stick, Pepper, Cloves one by one, allow it to Sizzle.
  • Add Chopped onion, fry till it turns golden
  • Add Ginger Garlic paste and cook until raw smell goes up
  • Add tomato and cook till they mashed up
  • Add marinated chicken and mix well.
  • Add Red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder one by one, Stir well
  • Add salt, Little water, Cover the kadai let it cook for 10-12 minutes  completely on medium flame, till oil separates.
  • Finally add coriander leaves and switch off.
 
Notes

  • You can add some curd to marinate chicken
  • Adding Water is optional, because chicken already have water inside.
  • You can use boneless chicken or chicken with bone.
