Senai Kilangu/ Elephant Yam Vadai

- Senai kilangu/ Elephant Yam Chopped - 2 cup
- coconut -1
- small onion for grind - 1 cup
- curry leaf,coriander leaf,salt as needed
- roasted gram - 1/4 cup
- Green Chilly -3
- oil- deep frying (For Purchase Oil Click Here)
Step 1:
- Chop the coconut and small onion into small pieces
- Grind the chopped coconut, small onion, roasted gram and green chilly without adding water
- Keep it in a separate bowl.
- Peel the skin of senai Kilangu/ Elephant Gram
- Cut it into small pieces
- Grind it in a mixer without adding water.
- Mix the step 1 grinded material and step 2 grinded material in a mixer bowl
- Add salt as needed
- Chop the curry leaves and coriander leaves and mix it in the mixer bowl.
- Heat oil in kadai and make medium sized patties/vadai in your palm. Grease your hands with water.
- Drop the vadai in oil and cook in medium flame. You can fry 4-5 at a time. Fry both sides until golden and crisp or until the inside gets cooked well.
- Drain to paper towel and enjoy hot. Its very flavourful even when its cooled down.
Notes
- Make sure u don’t add any water while grinding and mixer of the grind should be coarse.
- You can add 1 tsp of raw rice powder in the mixer bowl for more crispy.

You can use Cutter and chopper for chopping the Senai kilangu/ Elephant Yam
