High Protein Adai Dosai

ADAI DOSAI



Ingredients:

  • Raw Rice - 1 cup
  • Boiled Rice - 2 cup
  • Toor Dal - 1 cup
  • Chana Dal - 1 cup
  • Splitted Urad Dal - 1/4 cup
  • Red Chilli - 5 Pieces
  • Cumin - 2 tsp 
  • Chopped Small Onion - 1 Cup
  • Curry Leaves, Coriander Leaves - As needed
  • Chopped Coconut - 1/2 Cup
  • Oil - As needed
  • Mustard Seeds - As needed
Method:

Step 1:
  • Soak Raw rice, Boiled rice, Toor dal, Chana dal, Splitted  Urad dal, Red Chilli, Cumin all together for minimum 2 hrs.
  • Grind the soaked items in a mixer or grinder by adding little water.
  • Add salt as needed in the grinded items.
  • Grind all items to a coarse paste and keep it in a bowl.
Step 2:
  • Heat Kadai, Add 2 tsp oil.
  • Allow mustard seeds to sizzle, after that add curry leaves, coriander leaves, chopped onion, chopped coconut one by one.
  • Fry it in a low flame.
  • Add all the fried items in the batter, Mix well
  • The batter should be thicker than our idly dosa batter. So adjust water as needed
  • Heat the tawa and spread little oil and spread one ladle full of batter as thick adai's, For thin Adai's add some more water. Let it get cooked for sometime.Turn over the adai and cook the other side too till golden brown
Notes
  • You can use idly rice instead of boiled rice which is used for meals.
  • Adding chopped coconut to the batter is optional, But it gives excellent taste when we eat hot.
  • you can use the batter immediately or you can refridge it.
  • coarse in texture of batter is very important
  • serve Adai with coconut chutney or any other chutney
