Simple Tiffin Sambar without Dal

Ingredients:
- Chopped Onion - 1/2 cup
- Tomato - 2 (Chopped)
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
- Cumin - 1/2 tsp
- Gram Flour- 2 tsp (Click Here)
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Oil - As needed
- Salt - As needed
- Green Chilli - 3 (Chopped)
- Curry leaves- As needed
- Chopped Coriander leaves- As needed
- Chana Dal - 1 tsp
Method:
Step 1:
- Take a bowl, Add Gram Flour and Water, Mix well as a watery consistency, Keep aside.
- Heat oil in kadai, Add Mustard seeds, Cumin, Curry leaves one by one, Allow it to sizzle.
- Add Chana Dal in it fry until the colour slightly changes
- Add chopped onion, fry until it turns golden.
- Add chopped tomato, mash well, Add Green Chilli, turmeric powder, salt, Mix well.
- Add 1 cup of water into it, Allow it to boil.
- Now add watery gram flour in it, Mix well without lumps.
- Add some more water, Cover the lid cook for 5 to 8 mins.
- Add Chopped coriander leaves, Switch off the flame.
Notes
- You can add Carrot or Brinjal like vegetables in it before adding gram flour.
- This sambar is very tasty for Idli, Dosa.
- You can use Small onion for extra taste.
